A taste of the sweet life

When Lilit and I set out to host a networking event for bloggers and influencers, I don't think we truly anticipated what awaited us at our table last night. I have been sitting in this feeling of gratitude all day, and it's no exaggeration to say that I've been racking my brain - I am still so unsure of how to put into words what look place in the room last night. I'm going to keep this post short and sweet; I couldn't let a day go by without posting a glimpse into what I define as the sweet life.

After 3 busy months of planning and 3 full days of cooking, the time came to welcome our beautiful guests into a homely space that was graciously offered to us by Shushan, the owner of Ladybugs Catering and Events here in Los Angeles. With a setting sponsored by CMC Events, stunning blooms delivered by Avant Garden, the room was awash with pastel colours of candy pinks and sky blue. My dear friend Natasha sang with her heart as we invited our guests into the main dining space. We began our evening with a sumptuous cheese filled grazing station, and once we were seated for our banquet, that's when the magic happened.

What took place at the table required no choreography and without any guidelines given to our guests, we each took the microphone, one by one, and shared what it is that we define as the sweet life. We laughed and cried, and without any fear of judgement, we shed a little skin - sometimes the journey into the heart of the sweet life isn't an easy one. We heard stories of trials and tribulations, and shared desserts to celebrate the joys and triumphs.. When the end of the night came around, Lilit and I couldn't help but start our planning for the next one.
