48 hours in Beautiful Bellingen

DSC_0353

Ahead of my two days exploring all the sweetness of Bellingen and its surrounds, I took advantage of the well stocked kitchen at Afterglow Cottages. When Agnes welcomed me into the cottage, she showed me to the refridgerator and let me know that she had pre stocked it (very generously) with milk, muesli, bacon, eggs, feta, char roasted veggies, and fresh bread so that if I wanted to prep my own breakfast, I wouldn't need to pick anything up. So I did just that, and enjoyed it amidst my lush green surroundings.

With only 48 hours to cover as much green ground as possible, I anticipated a whirlwind of chatting to locals, enchanting natural landscapes, relaxing drives in the A1 and inspirational foodie escapades. As wonderful as it was, In the end what I treasured most about my time in Bellingen was the opportunity to wander in the village centre and truly lose myself in a culture that lives and breathes organic, sustainable and local living. There's something special about Bellingen, and once I left, I immediately started planning to go back.
