Bourke Street Bakery & Alex Retief's Micro Winery




Last night, I had the pleasure of joining a crowd of food and wine enthusiasts at Bourke Street Bakery in Sydney's Potts Point. The event marked the official bottling of Alex Retief's wine following his collaboration with David McGuinness of Bourke Street Bakery to establish Potts Point's only micro winery. Guests enjoyed an overflow of wonderful wines, freshly shucked oysters, along with a generous array of bakery canapés.

The bakery setting made this event exactly what a midweek foodie gathering should be; relaxed, warm and completely enjoyable. Now that the wine has been bottled to the last drop, they'll be available for purchase through Alex's website
